Welcome to Audeze Maxwell
To update to the latest firmware, please see the Firmware Update section.
Maxwell has a battery life of 80+ hours (at 80dB listening level). We recommend fully charging Maxwell with a USB 5V power source before first use. Maxwell supports 1, 8 amp fast chargers, capable of charging from 20 to 30 hours in 20 minutes.
Power on Maxwell by pressing and holding the power button on the front cup for 3 seconds (beep: on). Maxwell will automatically connect to the first connected source in connection priority order.
Maxwell will connect to the dongle right out of the box (Audio cue: Connected) as long as it is connected to a compatible device and the dongle switch is set to the appropriate mode for that device.
To turn the microphone on/off, use the toggle switch on the outside of the left earphone (up is on, down is off).
Bluetooth Connection
Bluetooth Connection
Bluetooth pairing is similar across most platforms. To put Maxwell into Bluetooth pairing mode, simply press the power button twice (audio indicator: pairing).
Maxwell supports quick pairing for Windows and quick pairing for Android phones. Simply put Maxwell into pairing mode and place it near your Windows machine or Android phone, and it will prompt you to perform automatic pairing.
Note: When pairing with a device, do not select "Audeze Maxwell BLE". This refers to low power mode and is not the correct device for initial pairing.
For system-specific pairing instructions, see below:
Windows
From Windows Settings, go to Settings & amp; gt; Bluetooth & amp; Devices & amp; gt; Add a device. Click "Bluetooth", then click "Audeze Maxwell BT" from the devices menu.

USB connected
When a USB cable is plugged into the headphone port and data connection is enabled, Maxwell will automatically switch to USB mode (Audio cue: USB). USB mode supports 24bit/96khz lossless high resolution audio on compatible systems.
If you want to charge the Maxwell PlayStation during use in Bluetooth mode, you need to connect to a USB dedicated USB port such as Wart Wart charger (USB condom also works to charge with a data connected source). Maxwell is compatible with iOS products via wired USB while using Apple's official adapter. Compatibility with other adapters cannot be guaranteed.

AUX connection
When the AUX cable is connected to the correct port of the headphone, Maxwell automatically switches to AUX mode. Note: There are two AUX ports on the headphones, and the AUX port is a port close to the volume wheel at the bottom of the headphones. The concave port on the front of the headphones is only for microphone.
Use of wireless dongle
Use of wireless dongle
If you use dongle on your favorite game console, it will not work full unless the switch on the side of the dongle is appropriate. To set the dongle, remove the dongle from the source device, switch the switch to PS or Xbox (depending on your version), and then insert it again. When the dongle is detected, the maxwell is automatically reconnected to the dongle.
The following is the procedure for pairing the new Maxwell dongle into the headset (or r e-pairing the existing dongle).
Connect the dongle to a computer or Mac machine. Download and install Audeze HQ software for Mac or Windows (V80 or more).
A button "Pairing dongle" is displayed from the "Settings" tab of the software (if dongle is already paired as a headset, it is necessary to turn on the headset before the button is displayed. There is).
Click the dongle pair button to display a new prompt. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the pairing of the dongle.
Important: Currently, if you are a firmware version 1. 0. 1. 46 or less, you need to press the power button three times while pressing the noise reduction button to make the hearing aid in pairing mode.
If the above pairing procedure does not work, you can use the dongle button to reset it.
Firmware v46 or less: Insert a paper towel into a small retainer on the side of the dongle until the dongle LED starts flashing. When the LED flashes, hold the noise reduction button on the front of the headset and press the power button three times in a row with the button pressed (it may take several minutes for the pairing to be performed).
Firmware v49 or more: Insert a clip into a small retainer on the side of the dongle and click the button once. When the LED begins to flash, press the power button on the mobile phone three times. You can hear the "pairing" sound from your mobile phone.
You can turn on the mobile phone and turn on the power again after the test.
Notes on the settings of the PC "dongle
Dongle's PC mode must be used for all other devices, including other consoles such as Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck. The same is true for PCs and Macs. PS mode and Xbox mode are exclusively for these consoles, and PC mode is the best feature on other devices.
The wireless dongle attached to the Maxwell offers a very low delay play, a very powerful wireless transmission power, and a hig h-resolution audio. In the case of a device that supports Bluetooth Le Audio, if the Le Audio is enabled on the device, the dongle is not required for lo w-delay playback (this option is currently in the Android developer option menu. This is in the future. See Advanced Bluetooth Mode for more information on new Bluetooth 5. 3 protocols that can be used on more Android devices. < SPAN> Farmware v49 or more: Insert a clip into the small retainer on the side of the dongle and click the button once. When the LED begins to flash, press the power button on the mobile phone three times. You can hear the "pairing" sound from your mobile phone.
