To enter Wood Side Apartments, you must first find Wood Side Apartments Key. This Key is located in a dirty clothing on the ground near a gree n-blue car, located in the area between NELY'S BAR, Texan Cafe, American Cafe, and Gonzales Restaurant. Solving a jukebox puzzle at the Neeze Bar will unlock this area.

Once you get the key, head to Wood Side APARTMENTS on the west side of KATZ ST. and use the key to open the entrance key.

Silent Hill 2 Woodside Apartment Tutorial

The first thing to do in the Woodside Apartment is to get up the stairs and get the map in front of you. This map is indispensable for going through the housing complex.

There is a savepoint on the back of the map, and there is a coin cabinet, the main puzzle of the woodside apartment. Step 1: Get the courtyard key and flashlight

The key and flashlight in the shooting courtyard are located in Room 202 on the 2nd floor of the wood side apartment. The flashlight is about the mannequin doll, and the key of the shot coat is on the side of the slide next to it.

Open the door to Room 206 with the Steel Key on the safe, then turn left to open the door in the hallway and enter Room 205. Step 6: Get a can of juice and a woman coin

Exit room 205 and head west to the 2F middle corridor. Usopp may be waiting here, so be careful. Kill the enemies, then head north and use the "2F Small Staircase Key" on the door leading to the stairs.

Go down the stairs to get 5x Handgun Bullets, then go up the stairs to 3F. Walk down the middle corridor, pick up 4x Handgun Bullets, then walk east and enter room 311 through the gap in the wall. There are 2 mannequin enemies here, but there is also 1x Health Drink.

Enter the next room, room 309, to find 2x Handgun Bullets, then exit through the hole in the south wall.

Turn right to enter Room 310 and pick up 2 Handgun Bullets, then go back through the hole in the wall and move through the gap in the wall next to it to get to the other side of Room 310. Kill the two mannequins inside and exit the balcony at the back to enter Room 312 and search the small balcony to the west for 1 Syringe.

Go back to Room 312, kill the mannequin enemy in the middle, pick up 1 Health Drink from the small room near the north door, then climb up through the gap in the floor near the door to the small balcony on the west side of Room 312.

Look left to find a Juice Can on a table, then use it on the nearby garbage chute to remove a Woman Coin.

Unlock the door, pick up 4 Handgun Bullets at the exit, then take the northern stairs down to 1F, unlock the door to the chute courtyard, and pick up the Woman Coin on the ground.

Step 7: Get the Snake Coin

After picking up the Woman Coin, head back north and follow the hallway to room 116 for a cutscene with a nasty corpse in the fridge, 3x handgun ammo in the kitchen, and Eddie in the bathroom.

After the cutscene, jump through the window into the pool area, run into the pool to collect the Snake Coin from the pram, quickly jump off the pool, unlock the southeast door back to Woodside Apartments 1F Lobby, and take refuge in the save point room near the coin cabinet.

I don't recommend killing enemies in the pool, as it's a waste of ammo and health items.

Step 8: Solve the coin cabinet puzzle to get the key to apartment 201

Now that you have all three coins in the coin cabinet, it's time to solve the coin cabinet puzzle!

1. Put the Woman Coin in the third slot.
2. Put the Man Coin in the first slot.
3. Flip the Snake coin and place the Flower in the fifth slot.

When the riddle changes to "The man doth approach", here's how to solve the second Coin Cabinet puzzle:

1. Move the "Man" coin to the second slot and flip it to reveal the "Sword".
2. Move the Woman coin to the fourth slot.

When the riddle changes to "Where once grew a flower", here's how to solve the third Coin Cabinet puzzle:

1. Flip the Flower coin to reveal the Snake, who is kept in the fifth slot.
2. Flip the Woman coin to reveal the Gravestone, who is kept in the fourth slot.
3. Flip the Sword coin to reveal "Man", and move it to the third slot.

Finally, when the puzzle changes to "The Beast who its teeth," place either the "Man," "Snake," or "Woman" coin into the slot just below the puzzle at the top of the coin cabinet. Regardless of which you choose, you'll get the key to Room 201, but which ending you get is up to you.

There are probably many more factors involved, but for reference, I chose the snake coin and got the "Leave" ending.

Once you have the key, go up the western stairs to room 201. Once inside, you'll find 1x Health Drink, so examine the handkerchief on the desk to see a cutscene where the red door near the kitchen opens.
