This is a getting started guide for Incremental Epic Hero by Shadowpyre to help new players understand the game mechanics, answer common questions, and get further along in the game.

Game Concept

We're adding this chapter because we've had a lot of questions about resources/classes/objectives.

The game is divided into three parts where possible.

To start with, the three heroes are associated with three "major" types, three roles, and three resources:

Explain the roles:

  • Warriors should be used to go for the challenge, as they can go far on the first try.
  • Wizards can clear areas faster than any other hero once all their skills are at 200 or higher.
  • When Angel Distraction is at 100 and Lucky Stance is selected, they can get more drops per second than any other hero.

Getting Started and FAQs [ ]

  • Which hero should I start with?

Personally I recommend starting with a Warrior, but it doesn't matter much in the long run of the game. Each hero has strengths and weaknesses, depending on where you are in the game right now. It is worth noting that Wizard is the hardest to start, as it relies heavily on gear and stats.

  • How many lives should I play in the first one?

After 1-5, you should reincarnate if you feel that you can no longer kill waves at a good pace. After beating 1-5, you should jump to 2-1 and be able to get resources from bats.

  • How do I get more skill slots?

Players normally have one skill slot. The second one can be obtained from the questline involving 2-2. Normal slots 3 to 5 are unlocked through challenges. The first global slot can be purchased at 0 cost during reincarnation.

  • What should I focus on?

At this level, you want to unlock D gear and level up your skills. Skills are different for each hero (linked from the table above) and are the foundation for all heroes. Each skill's passive will greatly improve the hero's stats compared to the gear over time. Skills have passives at intervals up to level 200. In general, it's better to focus on unlocking passive bonuses rather than unlocking new skills or gear. Most skills are useless until you're at level 100 or 150 because they are slow to activate, have high mana cost, and do low damage compared to higher level skills.

  • What gear is best?

Depending on what you do, EXP bonus gear is probably best for leveling utility. There is gear with bonus EXP in each tier (D/C/B/A) and these are the ones you should usually level/keep fairly high level. Below that are gears that give you extra resources (sword/staff/wings) that contribute to leveling up your skills.

  • What should I spend EC on?

Improved dailies (quality and quantity of daily quests). That means you can get at least 4 quests of 1k EC per day after unlocking all bonuses. After that, favorite areas and some QoL are worth a lot.

  • Hero can't get close?

The first skill slot has a dot in the top left. This is what indicates the default range of the hero. For most runs, I put close-range skills in slot 1 and sniper/clearing skills in slots 2-6. Hover over active skills (skills on the right side of the screen) to visually see the range of the hero.

  • How do I capture monsters?

Systems → Help → Capture is a very useful resource. But you need to make a net with alchemy:

  • Are there any bonus codes?

You can see them on the bonus codes page.

  • I've heard/read/saw alchemy.

No. Alchemy is for mid-to-late game and requires some understanding of resources. I strongly recommend ignoring alchemy:

  • When you reach 4-4 and need help.
  • Continue your current reincarnation (long run).
  • You can farm 4-2 by idling

Reincarnate [ ]

  • What should I focus on?

If this is your first time reincarnating, your biggest goal should be to get a free global slot (top right) before pressing the reincarnate button. As for how to buy, I recommend the following guide:

  1. If you can buy the gold caps for that class, buy it.
  2. If the material production is below 10, buy it.
  3. If you feel you need to improve your hero, buy the third or fourth column depending on your preference.
  4. Column 5 is not necessary until you are 4-1.
  5. Column 6 requires planning and multiple rebirths of multiple heroes.

Once reborn, the global skill slot (on the right) is to look at other heroes' skills and use them by dragging them to the global slot.

You cannot level up other heroes' skills even if you have the resources, and you must be the active hero to level up a skill.

About the first wall & challenge 1 [ ]

From what I've seen, most players beat 1-8 and unlock challenge 1. They can't get ahead if they can't beat 2-8 or try to beat 3-2.

I feel like there is a soft wall that warriors with swing down and swing around can break through most easily. I recommend leveling up to at least 50 to be able to use these two skills.

For players who have not yet beaten Challenge 1, I would recommend that you first make Shield Attack your primary and Swing Down your second skill slot.

Once you beat it, you will unlock the third skill slot.

If you are low on mana, level up your Shield Attack to increase your damage and mana gain.

The Swing Down + Swing Around combo can be used to beat 2-8 and 3-6.

At this point, you should have unlocked the Slime Bank, which turns your extra gold into Slime Coins (SC).

Mission

Each location has 5 missions, and the 6th mission is to complete 5 missions.

I would recommend leaving missions for later:

  • Capture Missions
  • Complete with just base attacks
  • Complete without equipment
  • Complete within seconds

These 4 types require high gear, lots of resources, high level heroes, and usually need to be planned.

They can usually be done when all of Area +2 has been cleared.

In the Explore tab, you can see the rewards for the missions, and they come at a big cost to your overall progress or speed.

Slime Bank

Slime coins are one of the few currencies that remain even after reincarnation. You can use them to convert back to gold, but this is not recommended considering the cost of acquiring one slime coin.

Until you can purchase slime coin ledgers, it is best to buy them for efficiency.

If you have purchased SC Autocue, we recommend switching from an efficiency build to an interest-based passive.

Depending on the shor t-term goal, SC can improve status, improve production, improve alchemy, improve capture rate, and improve nitro.

Challenge 2

In this challenge, you need to pay attention and play the game. There are three types of "attacks" in the boss, indicated by the color of the model and the skill bar above it.

  • Blac k-Stone throwing
  • Re d-Normal attack
  • Gree n-Improvement of shields

In the battle with golem, you can completely avoid the damage of black skills. Put the hero on your left foot (right of the golem) until the skill bar is full. When the black bar is full, go right to the other leg. The first rock flies from the golem's hand, but it should come off. If the rock passes by / on the opposite foot, go to the left.

Golem can be defeated until a red attack hits if there is a basic damage to pass through the shield.

Gear faceming

If you defeat Challenge 2, you will get C gear.

Slime swords are directly linked to the damage level up with+ATK%, so let's level them as much as possible.

Dodge by bat gear can give one or two free hits at challenges and hard levels.

If you are lucky to defeat the golem, you will get the ingredients to make a golem shield. Otherwise, the boss will be cultured immediately using alchemy.

To unlock the production of Tier 4, which can improve each skill to 200, it is necessary to reach 4-4.

Before starting Alchemy, I strongly recommend the following:

  1. Keep the Swing Fan level of 150 or more.
  2. You can clear 4-2 within 2 minutes.
  3. To use alchemy, be prepared to be a long place.
  4. Angel with a lucky stance

Alchemy requires a firm boss, breaking through difficult levels, and making the skills 200.

The breakdown of alchemy is as follows:

  • Bottle size
  • Resources required for craft
  • AP required for the recipe unlock

Start with 1 ml of 1 ml of 1/1 every time you reincarnate. In other words, it has a small bottle of 1 ml, and a small bottle is created at the ratio listed after Purify MySterious Water. Craft items and unlock recipes are held during reincarnation, but they cannot be made any more until all conditions are met.

To increase the amount of bottle, press + on the right side of the screen. 1/1 is 0/2 and the bar is full.

To speed things up, you get a small bonus with each level of alk (0/2 generates more than 0/1) and each Monster Energy Pot consumed.

These also grant AP, which is used to buy recipes.

If you fill faster, you can increase your vials to /10, which unlocks the next tier, 10mL.

Each tier has its own recipes, and more powerful recipes become available as you level up.

For boss farming, the goal is to eventually get to 10L, which generates enough AP to buy a 10L tincture.

Doing so allows you to farm Slime King/Golem/Death Spider/Fairy Queen at a fairly high level and still maintain a better drop rate.

4-4 Wall

If you get to 4-4 and can't seem to do enough damage, you're ready to use alchemy to use capsules of 10mL to 1L strength.

The difference between 10mL, 100mL, and 1L is the crafting materials needed and the duration (in hours) of the bonus.

The higher the level, the better the quality and the longer it will take.

Beat 4-4 to unlock the 4th tier of Collectors and complete your skill acquisition up to level 200.

Getting all skills to level 200 is a huge boost for Angel and Wizard classes and is highly recommended.

5-4 Wall

The 5-4 requirement is where I feel the game transitions into long term grinding/farming mode. At this point, you need to increase your ATK and ATK bonuses to counter the monsters' increased DEF and HP.

Objectives to consider

  • Unlock Bananoon in 5-8. Defeating Bananoon gives you your final 5th normal skill slot.
  • *Get 12 Golem Shields.
  • Complete 200 missions

All of these things will help you beat Monty, but the shield is needed to survive small attacks and hold off the yellow attacks.

Reincarnation [ ]

Reincarnation is a New Game+ mode that resets almost everything and adds new skills and new mods.

They talked about Unreal Marketplace from both creators and buyers. Clinton and Carl also told us a lot of practical and valuable reasons to upload and sell content to Unreal Engine Marketplace.

About Unreal Engine Market Place

Unreal Engine Marketplace started in 2014 and offers free and paid assets such as prop, set, and environment. Since then, 3, 000 sellers have been hosted and more than 10, 000 products have been sold. The range is wide and covers code plugins, rigs, sound effects, etc.!

Think about what games and movies are popular now, and imagine living in the world, and work on your assets. What themes have appeared repeatedly in the recently released video games? Is military a theme? Is it a pos t-apocalypse (Last of Ass, the most awarded awar d-winning game!)?

If you roughly grasp what is the trend, it is essential to observe the Unreal Engine Market Place and determine where the gap is, avoiding already saturated areas.

It is also worth considering what someone else wants to use. For example, what are the content that writing artists want to write to make their skills more effectively appeal?

Just as Carl gets inspiration from Clinton's assets, Clinton often comes up with new ideas for content by exploring Carl's scenes. He recommends checking out how others use assets to better understand how and why they are used. Often a scene will inspire a story, which then becomes an entirely new asset pack!

What kind of assets sell best on the Unreal Engine Marketplace?

In Clinton's experience, medieval, military, medical, and environmental themes are bestsellers.

Content that is relevant and can serve multiple purposes sells well. If you make a bespoke cybergun, it's unlikely to sell because it's not very versatile.

Assets that use the latest technology are also favored by buyers. If you have older assets on the Unreal Engine Marketplace, keep in mind that technology is constantly evolving.

Consider the end user

Another important factor in selling well is whether the assets are made with the end user in mind. When creating assets for the Unreal Engine Marketplace, ask yourself the following questions:

  • Is it named correctly?
  • Is it optimized? Nobody wants to work with heavy sets and assets.
  • Is the collision created correctly?
  • Is the white mask properly created?
  • How does the asset look from different angles?
  • Is the content easy to use? Does it work "out of the box"? Does it include tint and layer mask options that allow hue shifts and value adjustments so that the asset seamlessly inserts into the artist's scene?
  • Does it showcase compelling beauty renders? In order to attract buyers while still being honest about your work, it is important that what buyers see is what they get.
  • If it is a set or large asset, is it broken down into small, easily digestible pieces? Modular sets are more appealing, especially if accompanied by a comprehensive breakdown of all the parts.
  • Does your asset pack have a theme? People are more willing to spend money on your content if they can use multiple items in the pack. Check out Dekogon's asset packs for a great example of what to bundle and how much to bundle. To increase profitability, group items of similar complexity together. Thematic groupings make it easier to price them, and your higher prices will be more justifiable to buyers.

How long should I spend to create the content of the Unreal Engine Market Place?

How long you spend on creating a UEM content depends on the complexity of the content you create. The great thing about the marketplace is that it is up to you how much time to invest!

When creating props, keep in mind that 8 to 10 items per pack are the smallest content.
