First, let's choose your points. If you read the rules of this format, you have 7 points to use on a list of cards with a certain cost. This is a necessary choice for deck building and gives you an extra incentive to design your deck. As you can see in the picture, the cards with the dice rolled are 4 points of Sol's Ring, 1 point of Mana Storage, 1 point of Sylvan Library, and 1 point of Regrotwh, which are my choices. Some people change Storage to Maze of Welt, and others change Mox Emerald to Sol Ring.

Because it is a singleton format, it would take a long time to explain each card in detail. Sol Ring is one of the most powerful cards in the format, and if you start with it in play, you have the possibility of playing a 4-cost large creature on turn 2: Juggernaut, War Mammoth, or Erhnam Djinn. Mana Repository is the card I was most hesitant to include, but I plan to use it in this deck as it accelerates the bomb. Wild Growth is a good accelerator since it is an enchantment, so it is more consistent than if it were a creature, and Elves also play the role. You might miss Birds of Paradise, but since this deck is so aggressive and monocolored, and you play Hurricanes and If-Bif-Ifrit, there is not much point in including them. Green Mana Battery is too slow for the deck's concept. Felwar Stone is a staple of the format and could be a good option, but ultimately it didn't find a home.

Steal Engine: As I said before, the cards you should always have are Sylvan Library and Regrowth, which are both good steal engines and cards that everyone plays as splash cards for green. You can also have Jayemdae Tome, as it produces a ton of mana, but I didn't find a place for it, as it requires you to be very aggressive. Untamed Wilds and Sylvan are pseudo-cantrips, as they shuffle your library and remove basic lands from it.

Removal: Something green lacks, or at least doesn't have as much as other colors. Scavengers Folk, Crumble will help you deal with pesky artifacts like Icy Manipulator and Jayemdae Tome. Serenity is our Wrath of God enchantment, and while it may not seem necessary at times, there are some very good enchantments. Chaos Orb is a card that everyone plays or should play, and is the quintessence of old school. Ice Storm is a good option against Maze of the Moon and Desert, but we already have cards that can deal with those. Freeze also doubles as removal in some situations, taking out some of the really annoying one-turn regeneration creatures, as well as Mazes and Deserts.

With these two in play, you can do a lot of tricks (yes, If-Biff has seen a lot of schoolyards).

It's a common thing in this format, you want to include everything but you can't! Still, let's make a rough list of cards to potentially try. In the last version, I included a big gun called Aladdin's Ring, but the cost is too high. Earthen Statue is a good option, the bad thing is that it's a curve 6 creature instead of a curve 4 creature. Durkwood Boars, Wormwood Treefolk, Moss Monster, and Ironroot Treefolk are strong creatures, but as I said before, you want to be faster than your opponent. Nevinyrral's Disk is a card that's often used in Mono Green because it doesn't have much removal, but I don't think it works well with Ancient Sword in this case, and we can make a presence on many tables. Elvish Rider is interesting because it has evasion, and you can support it with Hurricane and Rajang Spirit. Niall Silvain can be good on turn 3, but his ability ultimately requires you to have a decent mana bond every turn. Why doesn't he fly?

Conclusion
"Mono-Green 7pts" is still a pretty casual archetype full of fun cards, but I think it's more competitive in this format, so it's painful and effective at the same time. Introduction
Hello again everyone! The idea for this deck came when I watched a video by YouTuber Timmy the Sorcerer. In that video, Timmy talked about 10 unusual, rarely seen, but fun combos, and one of them was the combo of Apprentice Wizard and Confounding Scepter. Remember that one of the goals of this challenge is to turn cards that no one plays into cards that you can at least play, and have a variety of strategies that work. Keep your blue mana untapped while stealing cards from your opponent, and end the game with Luck against any threat. This was the initial idea, but the deck evolved to be more versatile:
To threaten in the first few turns, control the table with Ice Manipulator, steal cards from your opponent with Staff, and end the game with Luck or Psionic Blast. Since I don't draw as many cards as The Deck and I don't use white, I have to be careful when I play Counterspell, but there comes a point where I can't deal with all of my opponent's threats and can't develop the game, so I end up taking it out and only playing Mana Drain, which also helps with the ramp needed for this deck's strategy:

Another star card is the Sand of Disaster. Overall, this deck is good against aggro, even better against midrange because it has fewer creatures and is easier to control, and especially against mono black because they can't remove some of our threats (e. g. control magic). Against control it's not bad because you can remove cards with Scepter, but The Deck has so many options that you're always one step behind. Against Erhnangeddom you're at a disadvantage because they can kill you with Armageddom, and against Atog and UR you don't have time to react to their many sparks. Another scary pair is Ponza, which is very hard to beat.

With a lot of colorless spells you can play a playset of Quarry and Factory.
Blue burst is a must on the bench, Amnesia will be your best bet against "The Deck" and control decks, and control magic is a "must have" against decks that can't remove it. Psychic Purge is also a must for Mono Black, but it also works well against smaller bug decks, as it removes pesky threats like Argos Pixie and Missionary. Triskelion is a similar case, as it's a one-hit 3-for-1 and also a good finisher. Fountain of Youth is great against decks like Atog, or decks based around Black Vise and Mishra's Ankh. It lets you drop a land for free, and the extra life helps mitigate the damage from Ankh. Steal Artifact, Flash Counter, and Boomerang are other options to bench.
Summary
If you thought Apprentice Wizard was only good for making cardboard nozzles, you'll see that it has a lot more uses here. It's a card to consider in Limited and Cube, but nobody played it in Constructed, or at least I didn't see it in any decks. Sorcerer's Ledge is a versatile deck that won't win any tournaments (or maybe it will, who knows), but it will be fun to play. I've been seeing more and more decklists that include the core card of this deck, Evil Eye of Ormuz-by-Gore. More and more players are realizing the potential of this strange and, in my opinion, underrated card. I would like to share my experience from my first deck using Evil Eye, which won the award for the most creative deck at the 4th tournament of the 3rd LMOS in December 2018.

A long time ago, on that day in December 2018, opponents would ask me what "that" was doing or just laugh out loud every time this card was cast for 5 mana. I can assure you that it was a very fun day. The origin of this idea was that I thought Evil Eye would have good synergy with Will o' the Wisp. The horrible news coming out every day, the difficulty of receiving some mail, and unrelated personal issues have prevented me from concentrating on writing as much as I would like. A lot has changed since then. During my suspension, I played a lot of Old School, Premodern, and new formats like Legacy 96 (all online of course). When I started looking at possible cards, I noticed one card that I hadn't seen play at least in tournaments. That card was Nova Pentacle, and it was a big find because it works pretty well. Its downside is that it can't be activated if you don't have any creatures in play, so it's bad against UR and burn, so I tend to bench it, but in decks like this one that have no creatures or only creatures, it's worth using one slot for. It's not a replacement for Icy Manipulator, but you can combine it with Pentacle, whose advantage is that it removes creatures, and Icy Manipulator's advantage is that it doesn't remove creatures. With Titania's Song, it's a good 4/4. Combine it with Desert to kill creatures with asymmetric health and toughness, like Elnam Djinn or Killed Ape. Once opponents understand its power, they will always want to get rid of it. Since it has a high activation cost, I think you can play two if you have a high mana generation ability, but I think one is optimal.

Do you really want to redirect damage?

- One card that improves this deck from the first version is Mana Storage, because it speeds up playing Ice Manipulator and Mirror Universe early or with Mind Twist. When I was playing without this card, my opponent's Quarry was frustrating me and didn't let me play anything, but with this chest, I can play a Felwar and a Relic, or a Relic and a Mina at the same time in the same turn.

We already know the power of Mirror Universe, so we're not going to discover America. The first version of the deck couldn't do anything against Bolts or Chains, so we were always losing to decks that used a lot of sparks like Atog or UR, but this card changed things a lot. It works really well with Sylvan and Mana Vault, and once it resolves, we can just turn Titania's Song face down and hit any artifact on the table (protecting it with Avoid Fate if necessary), so I'd say Mirror Universe is one of our win conditions.

Our main goal is to control the table by playing artifact after artifact, trading life for cards (with Sylvan Library) or drawing extra cards with mines, building up enough artifacts like Relic Barrier, Ice Manipulator, Winter Orb, Sword, Disenchant... until we can play a deadly Song of Titania and kill our opponent in one hit. The most important thing is to avoid being countered. Disenchant allows us to attack that turn (remember that once you play Song of Titania, it lasts until the end of the turn even if you leave the game), so we usually play it to win, but sometimes we are forced to play it early because we are low on life and have to kill in two turns instead of one.

In this unpowered version, we chose to splash into black to be able to play two of the best cards in that color: Demonic Tutor and Mind Twist. With Demonic Tutor, we will look for bombs like Mirror, Balance, Titania's Song, and Chaos Orb. This card is devastating, even if you play it without P9, you can generate a lot of mana, and above all, the whips we play will be quite effective thanks to Mana Repository.

The mana base is solid, with two City of Brass, Scrapheap, and Swamp, we will have three colors, but thanks to Felwar Stones we often have that color, so we can play a splash in black. Of course, any deck that plays white puts us in a tight spot, as they are likely to play Disenchant and Dust to Dust from their bench. We have Avoid Fate against Disenchant, but against Dust we only have creatures that we can bring in from our bench.

You could also play one Guardian Beast to protect your artifacts from Nevinyrral's Disk or to combo with Chaos Orb. Maze of the Dead is a great candidate, and I played a few versions of it, but it forced me to choose between developing my mana base (Maze costs a land drop) or better protection against creatures. There are some cards that you need but can't play in your deck, but you do need Library of Alexandria. Depths could be great main deck, but it wouldn't work with your current bench. Mishra's Workshop would be a great card for this artifact-heavy deck.

Quarries are usually used as resources, but in this case they have to be used as lands. For example, to break blue doubles if you feel like you have a counterspell in the middle, or to double target and prevent Moat or Dust to Sands coming down. But usually it's used as another land to give you mana.

Another key card on the bench is Fate Avoid, and while you want to play two of them, if you're benching creatures, it's best to play two more, and your opponent will have removed some of their removal, so four Fate Avoids is more effective.

This is one of those decks that is built around one card, and while it looks like it has one win condition at first glance, it has a nice surprise in it. Ruth Lucilla Gardner Brooks

Ruth Lucilla Gardner Brooks peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 5, 2021, surrounded by her immediate family at the age of 92. She was born November 9, 1928 in Esmont, Virginia to the late William Kenton and Hattie Nelson Gardner. Ruth was married to Edward Thomas (E. T.) Brooks. She was the youngest of eight siblings: William, John, Jetty, Beatrice, Elizabeth, George and Theodore.

Ruth graduated from Esmont High School in 1945. After earning her cosmetology degree from St. Paul College in Lawrenceville, Virginia, Ruth opened a beauty salon in her home and served the residents of Esmont and the surrounding area for over 50 years. Along with her profession as a cosmetologist, she was also a well-known church musician for over 70 years, inspired by her mother, who was the church pianist for many years at New Green Mountain Church and Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Ruth began her musical journey as a young teenage pianist at New Green Mountain Sunday School. Throughout her career, she shared her love of performing music in five churches and several community choirs. In addition to her musical activities, Ruth was an active member of many community organizations, including the local chapter of the NAACP, the Southside Fellowship Group, Household of Ruth, the Esmont Garden Club, and as a guide at the Scottsville Museum. Another highlight of her life was her active participation in family gatherings including the Bolden Gardner Jones Nelson, Nelson Ward and Armstead Fegans families. Three grandchildren, Charles Brooks of Pasadena, Calif., Kenton Brooks of Lynchburg, Va. and Carla Brooks of Alexandria, Va., two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Gardner of Esmont, Va. and LaMonde Gardner of Charlottesville, Va. Elva Franklin Key

Elva Franklin Key heard the voice of her Heavenly Father on the evening of Saturday, May 15, 2021, and took His hand to transition from her earthly life. Elva was born on September 4, 1935 to the late Morris Edward and Sarah Mildred Franklin, and was a lifelong Fluvanna County resident in the Wilmington area. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Key Sr., sons Darrell, Darwin and Herman Jr., and brothers Allen and Morris Edward Jr. Deacon Elva Key was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church from an early age, where she faithfully served in various ministries until her passing. She faithfully served as a deacon, member of the second Sunday choir and mass choir, trustee, assistant pastor, member of the missionary circle, and Sunday school superintendent and teacher. A graduate of S. C. Abrams High School, Elva was married to Herman Key Sr. for over 60 years. They have twins, Darwin and Darrell, a daughter, Cheryl, and a son, Herman Jr. They raised their children with discipline and love, and always supported their goals. Elva was affectionately known as Mrs. Key to the students and parents who frequented Central Elementary School. She is proud to have worked as a secretary at Central Elementary School during its segregation and integration period. During that time, she feels that she was able to effectively and positively impact children of all races and backgrounds in Fluvanna.

Elva leaves to cherish her memories her beloved daughter Cheryl and husband Beverly ("Sparky") Stewart Jr., daughters-in-law Patricia Key and Ferris Bowling Key, seven loving grandchildren Shelley, Ashley and husband Maurice Coleman, Karen, Darwin Jr. ("DW"), Charles, Lauren and Emony, and eight precious great-grandchildren Monica, Landon, Kaylee, Zuri, Camden, Kinsley, Princeton and Onnie. Laura Virginia Richardson

Laura Virginia Richardson, 79, in Charlots Ville, Virginia, fell asleep on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at home. She was born on June 9, 1941 between the late John Jackson and Virginia Jackson. Born and raised in Charlottsville, Virginia, graduated from Jackson P. Burley High School in 1961. Ace Beauty Academy Richmond Virginia has obtained a hairdresser license and has been working as a hairdresser for over 45 years and retired from a hair shop.

Laura went to the Pilgrim Baptist Church and was a faithful member until his health was impaired. Laura was a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. I liked cooking and enjoyed shopping with my late sister, Pat. She enjoyed her family and was always with everyone when needed.

Misey Seseria Carter was born on February 5, 1944 between the late Barney L. Tinsli and Virginia B. Tinsli in Luiz a-gun, Virginia. Robert Hugo, "Tony", Morris Junior 49 years old, died on May 5, 2021 at the Virginian Medical Center in Charlottzville, Virginia. Prior to his father Robert Hugo Morris Senior.

Prior to his beloved mother, Deroles Anne Morris. My sister Della Morris, Pamera Morris Pass, Deborah Morris Green, and brothe r-i n-law Ronald Green are also lonely. Robert was born June 30, 1971 in Charlottesville, Virginia. He attended Charlottesville High School and graduated in 1989. After graduation, he attended the Tractor Trailer Course at the J. B. Hunt School and obtained his CDL. He was baptized at an early age by Dr. E. G. Hall at the Ebenezer Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a faithful member of the Beagle Run Hunting Club. He loved to cook and barbecue, barbecue was his favorite food. He also loved to drive antique trucks. He was a faithful and hardworking employee at the Holiday Inn South for 18 years in the maintenance department.

He also leaves behind his best friends, George Ford, Francis Henson, and Donovan Brown, whom he considered like brothers, and another friend, Brenda Reed, who was like a sister to him.

Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the University of Virginia Medical Center COVID Unit and 4 North for the wonderful care they provided to our son and his brother Tony.

Minnie Wilson Gardner

Minnie Wilson Gardner of Charlottesville, Virginia, was blessed with 99 long years on this earth. She passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Minnie was born on December 22, 1921. She was the seventh of eight children born to the late Sandy Wilson and Ada Hughes Wilson.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Wilfred, Alonzo, Samuel and Sandy Wilson, and three sisters, Dorothy Wilson Barber, Edna Wilson Murray and Ora Wilson Gardner.

Minnie attended Saint Augustine College and retired from the Charlottesville City School System. She was united in holy matrimony with the late Thomas Gardner, to whom she had one son, Thomas Lorenzo.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted niece, Dorothy Gardner of Charlottesville, VA, and devoted nephews and nieces, David and Bertha Gardner.

A wake will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 12:00pm-5:00pm at the J. F. Bell Funeral Home Chapel.

Vincent Louis Monroe, nicknamed "Money" or "Vinnie", passed away on March 28, 2021. He was a native of Charlottesville, Virginia. Vincent was born on September 11, 1956 to the late Joseph Lewis and Colleen Henderson Monroe. He was educated in Albemarle County Public Schools and was a member of the graduating class of 1974. On December 31, 1997, Vincent married the love of his life, Dorothy Walker Monroe. Vincent was baptized at a young age at Wake Forest Baptist Church (Scottsville, Virginia) and later joined Middle Oak Baptist Church (Blenheim, Virginia). He retired from the Rivanna Water and Sewer Department after 25 years of service. In his youth, he played hoops at Tonsler Park. He followed the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team, and the Los Angeles Lakers. But none of them could compare to his beloved Dallas Cowboys! Marjolly Wagner Chodak died with children at the bedside on February 25, 2021. She lived in Raccarsville, Virginia, and used to live in Rodai, Lavena, and rock ports, New York.

In 1936, he was born in Ma Falls, New York, as the daughter of the late Stanley L. Wagner and Alta B. Wagner. He studied for two years at William Smith College, where he met Milton H. Chodak. Until Milton died in January 2021, Marjolly and Milton had been married for 66 years. In 1958, he obtained a psychology bachelor's degree at Buffalo University. In 1977, he majored in child psychology and counseling at the University of Niagala and acquired a master's degree of education.

In addition to raising children, Marjolly was a counselor for consulting with dangerous youth and adults suffering from addiction.

Majorie was an enthusiastic gardener and really loved nature. Women, animals, and defenders of all weak people. He supported the education for everyone, was a reader and a ruthless Hearts player. And most of all, he was doting his grandson.

Madeline has been prior to Robert, Bobby, Reeves Senior, a husband who has been with her for nearly 50 years. William Henry Burton, 80, in Albemar County, Virginia, died on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. He was born on January 9, 1941 in Albemar County as the son of the late William Andrew Burton and Dorothy Bruce Burton. He was the beloved husband of Irene Allen Burton.

Graduated from Burley High School and University of Colombia. William has gained a career as a senior budget analyst for General Service Adminization. From 1960 to 1968, he served the U. S. Army. During the military affairs, he was active as a rifle gun and won the Defense Director and a goo d-priced emblem.

ERMA S. LittlePage passed away on February 2, 2021 in Arsville, Virginia. She was born on March 5, 1927, the daughter of the late Edward James Stevens Senior and Edna Petty Gru Stevens in Memphis, Tennessee, as the second five brothers. In 1941, the family moved from Memphis to the Umbra, Pennsylvania. I went to the umbrella high school and graduated in 1945. In 1948, he married Quentin W. Little Page and bred with his two sons, Steve. Elma and Quentin continued to live in the Philadelphia area, and their sons were educated at Public School, Chelt Nam Township. Erma remained around Philadelphia until she moved to Charlottzville, Virginia in February 2017 after her husband's death in 1987.

Erma liked to meet and interact with people, spent most of his career in Western Savings Bank in Philadelphia, and was the most friendly bank terrace in Broad and Cessnut Street. She was always the top performer and a teleric loved by many Western Saving customers. The accompanying corporate customers received many compliments and notes on many customer service every year. After retirement, Erma spent a lot of time on traveling, visiting family and friends, shopping (favorite entertainment), and watching basketball. I always felt that Virginia Cavaliers was a champion. She was looking forward to visiting her three grandchildren, Erica, Malay, Erin Little Page and going to Virginia. When the grandchildren visited her in Jenkin Town, Pennsylvania, she was really special and proud. She always tried to introduce her grandchildren to friends and neighbors (sometimes introduced it many times).

Zilla Glascoe Dellinger, 69, of Charlottesville, Virginia, formerly of Culpeper, Virginia, passed away on January 27, 2021. She was born April 22, 1951 in Culpeper County, Virginia to the late John and Nellie Mae Glascoe. She graduated from Culpepper High School, studied at Germana Community College and was the owner of Ziller's Cleaning Services. She was a member of Rugby Avenue Church of Christ and a member of the MACAA Board of Directors. Her favorite pastimes were painting, arts and crafts, reading, spending time with her grandchildren, participating in church activities, attending Sunday services, watching western and karate movies, and listening to music. Dr. Milton Howard Chodak, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, surrounded by his loving family in Charlottesville, Virginia. He was diagnosed with COVID-19 in early January 2021. He was a healthy, independent member of the community until he was infected with HIV. He resides in Ruckersville, Virginia, and previously lived in Lodi, New York, Ravena, New York, Lockport, New York, and Brooklyn, New York.

Born in Brooklyn in 1931, the son of the late Dr. Paul Chodak and the Anne Lapaport Chodak. While active as a baseball and basketball player, he acquired a bachelor's degree at Hobart College in 1952. In 1963, he acquired a master's degree at Sirakusu University, and in 1966, a Ph. D. in Education at Buffalo's Buffalo. From 1952 to 1954, he served as the U. S. Army as a US Army reserve in 1962. After working in the Army, he returned to his alma mater and served as a coach of Bar City Basketball.

Education and lifelong learning were always important for Milt. After working as a scientific teacher and coach for high school basketball, he turned into a manager. Later, he served as a high school principal, deputy principal, and superintendent of education. For the last 11 years of his career, he served as the superintendent of Lava Caymance Celkir in Lavena, New York. My hobbies are gardens, music appreciation, UVA basketball, and bake pie for my family.

Born December 30, 1940, in Louisa County, Virginia, to Leonard Brooks and Frances Ann Davis (Anderson). Grandson of Ruby Davis Sr. and Alice Davis. In 1967, he married Sylvia M. Ellis and had five children: Jamie, Joey, Cathy, Katrina and Christina. Lee was educated in Louisa County Public Schools. Lee was a lifelong hard worker and owned Davis Concrete Company in Richmond, Virginia for over 20 years! Lee was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, his youngest son Joey Linwood Davis, and brothers Frances (Billy Bird) Anderson and Layton Brooks. Sisters: Rhonda Anderson, Lemona Anderson Hughes and Rebecca Allen. Predeceased by wife Bette Davis. His legacy and memory live on in his four children: Jamie (Victoria) Davis, Cathy (Michael) Mathews, Katrina (Russell) Hunter, Christina Davis, and daughter-in-law Cheryl Brooks Davis; special daughter, Kelly Bussell; eight grandchildren, three granddaughters, and over 16 great-grandchildren.

Lucil L. Chapman, 106 years old, lived in Kobuham, and on January 19, 2021 at Cider's Healthcare Center in Cedus Care, Charlottsville, Virginia. Born on May 16, 1914 between Philip Jr. in Albemar County, and Mary Cross Chapman, he was the oldest student in the historic St. John Rosenwald School. He served as a lifetime member of the Zion Hill Baptist in Keswick, Virginia, as a lifetime member and a missionary. He moved to Ciders in 2013, participated in bingo and domino happily, and was known as "grandmother." Aunt Lucil loved children throughout his life, niece, niece, his nephew, their children, their children, and their children in the neighborhood. Rachel Chapman gained heavenly wings and went home to be with Jesus on January 1, 2021 at Martha Jefferson Hospital after a courageous battle with Covid-19. She was born on July 19, 1940 to the late Homer and Ruby Thompson. Rachel had a kind and compassionate heart. She loved Jesus and showed that love by showing compassion and kindness to all she met. Rachel was a faithful lifelong member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Charlottesville, Virginia. After graduating from Jackson P. Burley High School in 1958, Rachel enrolled in the University of Virginia School of Nursing and earned her Licensed Practical Nurse Practitioner. For over 40 years, she lovingly cared for mothers and babies while working as an LPN in the obstetrics and delivery room at the University of Virginia Hospital. Today, many of her past patients fondly recall how caring and wonderful she was during their hospital stays. Rachel, who graduated from the University of Virginia School of Nursing in 1959, became a part of history. In 2019, the University of Virginia Black nursing class of the 1950s and 1960s received a long-standing award for their historic achievements and contributions to the University of Virginia and the community. The nurses were awarded the honorary title of "Hidden Nurses" and became official University of Virginia alumni along with lifetime membership in the University of Virginia Alumni Association. Shirley Monroe Smith, age 86, of Charlottesville, Virginia, went home to her Lord and Savior on December 22, 2020. She was born May 8, 1934 in Charlottesville, Virginia, the daughter of Clarence B. Monroe and Josephine See Monroe. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence "Dinky" Monroe and Richard H. Monroe, one sister, Gloria C. Monroe, and one son-in-law, the Rev. Mary A. Smith. Shirley attended Charlottesville Public Schools and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1951, where she played clarinet as a member of the girls' basketball team and in the marching band. She received her Associate of Arts (A. R. T.) degree from J. Sargent Reynolds Community College. Her dedicated career at the University of Virginia Medical Center lasted 45 years, retiring as Assistant Director of Medical Records. His sudden death a year later changed her world forever. In her new town, she persevered as a single mother with limited support, raising two beautiful daughters who were her pride and joy, and her grandchildren whom she adored. When you met Liasa, she was instantly your friend. A spirited woman with a heart of gold, an infectious laugh and sense of humor. She was fashionable, a great cook, and loved to sing. She was a faithful member of New Beginnings Christian Community in Charlottesville, where she continued to attend until her health began to fail. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Antoinette Johnson Reckley.

Jennie worked several jobs as a telephone operator, housekeeper, and CNA. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and served on the Usher Committee.

She leaves behind two daughters, Anita Sanders and Scimeka Johnson, three sisters, Eloise Rolle, Dolly Rolle and Doris Rolle, three grandchildren, D'Angelo Griffin, Pleasant Greene and Constance Greene, one son-in-law, Antonio Greene, many nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James E. Redd, two brothers and two sisters.

She worked for Stromberg Carlson, General Dynamics and Comdial until their closure. She was a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Charlottesville. She was a great cook and loved to prepare big Sunday dinners for family and friends who stopped by.

Regina was predeceased by her parents, Texas Josephine Taylor and Raymond L. Key, aunt, Frances Taylor, brothers, Raymond Jr. Key and Robert Massey Taylor, beloved niece, Doris Ann Wicks, nephew, Antonio Wicks and stepfather, Louis J. Williams. Regina worked at UVA for over 20 years and worked for Jefferson Area CHIP for three years while battling breast cancer. Albert Milton "Tree" Tyree went to heavenly rest on Thursday, November 12, 2020. He was born June 23, 1933, in Stony Point, Virginia, to Joshua Lee and Arlene Brown Tyree. Albert graduated from Albemarle Training School in 1951. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. Albert was employed by the United States Postal Service and most recently taught in the Fairfax County School System. In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his sister Martha Tyree Criss, his wife Margo Coleman Tyree, his brother Rufus Nicholas Tyree, and his son Albert S. "Al" Tyree. He is survived by his brothers: William Tyree (Elaine), Rev. Jean Lucinda Randolph, 93, passed away on November 5, 2020.

She is survived by her daughter Judith, five grandchildren, Charles, Tiffany, Jennifer, Allison and Alexandra, and two great-grandchildren, Josha and Jean.

Born in northern Virginia, he grew up on a farm with Roland and Cola, a successful carpenter, Roland, Cola, and many relatives. One of the 14 siblings, born between his father and mother, was the late husband, John Benjamin Landolf (church speech, the Army of Charlotsville, Virginia, the Army. He agreed to marry a civil servant, and raised his siblings with his hand salt until he left the house. She was a girl scout leader and liked gardening, cooking, sewing, crochet, and knitting. She is very regrettable.

William Franklin Calls, Senior

William Franklin Calls Senior, 84, was born on January 21, 1936 between J. Golden and Marsa Brookins Coles in Charlottzville, Virginia. On November 16, 2020, he died for the next adventure, surrounded by his family.

His education began with a graduation from Jackson P. Burley High School Class of 1954 and attending Virginia State University (formerly Virginia State University). William began his 37 year career with the United States Postal Service in 1958, retiring in 1995. He was a proud owner/operator of Metro Maintenance in the 1970s. He also retired from Boar's Head Inn after 20 years. Finally, he worked as a professional driver for Blue Ridge Executive Transportation for 8 years, a career he greatly enjoyed after retirement.

William married Sylvia Page Harris on June 7, 1958 and was a devoted husband for 62 years. Working hard and providing for his family was his driving force. William instilled goodness, kindness and self-reliance in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was loved by many nieces and nephews representing his wife's family in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia, where he was affectionately known as the "Boston Crew".

William, affectionately known as Tank, Daddy Coles, Pop, Willie, Bill and Coles, was a staunch friend and role model to many. After being diagnosed with dementia in 2013, he spent his final years surrounded by the loving care of his wife, Sylvia, and their daughter, Kelly and her husband, Tony. He is survived by Sylvia and their four children, William "Billy" Coles Jr. (Diane) of Temple Hills, MD, Kelly Coles Jordan (Tony) of Charlottesville, VA, Christy Coles Terrell (Philip) of Pontiac, MI and Kelly Coles Oates (Bylan) of Midlothian, VA; 12 grandchildren, Taryn Tucker, LaToya Braxton, William Tucker, Kendra Tucker, Carmen Terrell, Oliver Terrell, Kelsey Powell, Zoe Terrell, Fella Powell Jr., Zachary Terrell, Bryce Oates, Cody Oates, and 4 great-grandchildren: Zion Tucker, Matheus McGehee, Mir Braxton, and Griffen Hayden. He was preceded in death by his shaggy granddog Jefferson Coles, aka "JC," just 3 days ago.

He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a lifelong circle of friendships. William was especially close with his nephews Alfred "Buzzy" Page, Earl Jones, Paul Harris Sr. (Carol), his daughter-like niece Dr. Sherry Young Jones, and his cousins Weaver Stetson Golden.

Stonewall Jackson Mason Born August 25, 1952, Stonewall Jackson Mason passed away on November 5, 2020 at the University of Virginia Health System. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian R. Cary and Sylvester Cary, two sisters, Leslie Johnson and Mary Clark, and one brother, Guy Mason. Stoney, as he was called by many, worked for Turner's Cleaning Services for 25 years and was currently employed by Klockner Pentaplast for the past eight months. Stoney was an avid fisherman and gardener. He always spent summers with friends at the ballpark. He is survived by two sons, Guy S. Mason and Dominic P. Lacey, two daughters, Robin L. Bowles (Tyrone) and Savannah N. Lacey, and one sister, Roberta M. Fields (Barry). He was born on December 11, 1941 in Nelson County, Virginia, as the son of the late Archi Jackson and Amanda Duret Jackson. The husband of the late Ashura M. Croford Jackson.

Prior to one older brother, William "Bill" Jackson and one sister, Zada Wells.

Many duties, including regular education at public schools in Nelson County, Supervisor of Konagra, hygiene management at the Levana waste Corporation, managers of Mereweather Lewis School, and Villa Capri Restaurant. I got it. He was a member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church, a councilor, and sang at the senior choir. He liked reading the Bible, was a passionate fan of Dallas Cowboy and loved Trump.

He worked at Jersey Mike's Subs in Charlottesville, Virginia. He loved playing basketball, cooking, and singing.

Mummy Crystal Holland Bruce, 98, in Palmila, Virginia, died at home on Sunday, October 1, 2020. She was born on June 30, 1922 in Palmila, Virginia, as the daughter of the late John Holland and Odi (Blythe) Holland. He was the wife of the late Arthur Lee Blues.

She was officially educated at a public school, a public school, and graduated from a beauty school. He has also completed nursing and athology education. Working as a certified nursing assistant, a home health aid, and a private home care provider.

She was a member of the Eastern Star, and was a member of several organizations in the church, including Evergreen Baptist, Calvary Baptist, and Galilly Baptist Church.

Mary Sue Sandridge, 65, of Charlottesville, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at a local nursing home. She was born February 17, 1955, in Charlottesville, Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles and Mabel E. Sandridge.

A 1974 graduate of Lane High School, she worked as a cook at Rosewood Village for many years until her health began to fail. Cooking and playing cards were special joys for her.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda D. Sandridge, brother, Charles Sandridge, and sister, Rita Sandridge.

Doris Marie Dillard, 71, of Charlottesville, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, after a long illness. She was cared for at The Cedars Nursing Home. She was born March 6, 1949, the daughter of the late Delores M. (Dillard) Johnson and Grafton W. Dillard, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Natasha M. Scott of Charlottesville, two sisters, Barbara Johnson and Vernette Dillard, three brothers, Edward Johnson, Forrest Johnson and Roy Dillard, five grandchildren, Aaron, Antonio, Ahmad, Izhaan and Djimon, three great-grandchildren, a niece, Isabel Wright, and other relatives, cousins and friends.

Doris was baptized at Zion Union Baptist Church and joined the church choir. She grew up in Charlottesville, attended Old Jefferson Elementary School, where her father and uncle also attended, and graduated from Lane High School in the late 1960s. She worked at the University of Virginia Medical Center, where she served as a unit coordinator for several years until her retirement. Doris was a strong-willed character who faced life's challenges, but also had a friendly side. She enjoyed the simple things in life, such as fine dining at the Aberdeen Barn and Red Lobster, games and card playing, high seas cruises, listening to Caribbean music, and, later in life, the joy of being with her grandchildren.

Harry Lee Johnson

Harry Lee Johnson, 56, of Charlottesville, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2020, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born February 2, 1964, the son of the late Jessie Ruth Johnson and Harry Harrison Beasley. He was the husband of Avis Anderson Johnson.

Predeceased by four sisters, Mary Ann Jones, Joyce Johnson, Hattie Courtney and Phyllis Bullock, and two brothers, Wendall Madison and Luther Lewis Johnson Jr.

He graduated from Orange County High School and attended Piedmont Virginia Community College. He worked for 27 years as a floor supervisor at American Press Printing in Gordonsville, Virginia, and for two years as a machine operator at Samen's Energy in Charlottesville, Virginia.

He enjoyed golfing and watching the Washington Redskins football and the Virginia Cavaliers football and basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Avis Anderson Johnson; his daughter, Kennedy Nicole Johnson of Charlottesville, Virginia; four sisters, Mildred Johnson of Gordonsville, Virginia, Maude Jeffries of Gordonsville, Virginia, Eva Copeland of Philadelphia, Virginia, and Jacqueline Johnson of Barboursville, Virginia; and three brothers, Eugene Madison of Burke, Virginia, Ronald Johnson of Charlottesville, Virginia, and David Carey of Barboursville, Virginia.

Helen was an active and faithful member and usher at St. Joy Baptist Church in Schuyler, Virginia. She had many talents including cooking, baking, crocheting and needlework. She found great joy in sharing her many gifts with others.

Stephanie Danielle Morton Powe, 42, of Charlottesville, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 19, 2020. She was born January 22, 1978 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia.

She graduated from Albemarle High School in Charlottesville, Virginia and was the manager of Tropical Smoothie in Charlottesville, Virginia before she became ill. She met and married the love of her life, Rahsaan Aaron Pough. Stephanie and Rahsaan Pough were married on May 30, 2013 in Queens, New York. The two have been together for a total of 13 years and have been married for 7 years. Stephanie loved spending time with her family and friends. She was always looking for ways to bring her family together. She loved her church. She loved to travel, one of her favorite places was Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and visiting New York whenever she could. She loved reading, cooking, and watching her favorite TV shows, including the movie network "Lifetime." She loved listening to good music, and gospel music was her ultimate favorite! To cherish her memory she leaves her husband Rahsaan Aaron Pou of Queens, NY, her mother Mrs. Helen M. Morton of Charlottesville, VA, two beautiful daughters, Destiny J. Bryce and Bruna M. He was a cook who graduated from Charlottsville High School and worked in his profession in UVA Encompass Health.

Lucil Garland Anderson, 91 years old, on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, traveled with the Lord at Charlottzville, Virginia. Lucil was born on June 11, 1929, between the late Lucian and the Garland, in Charlottzville, Virginia. She was the last survival of the bloo d-connected brothers, Allen Garland, Richard Garland, Margaret Garland, Elizabeth Cobs, Mabel McGruder, and Helen Aaron.

Lucil's mother died before she turned two. His father dreamed that Ada (mother) would leave Lucil to leave his sister's "Mama Sally" Nightingale and "Daddy Richard" and Nightingale. The family had late Richard Earl and Dorothy Nightingale, including her as a child's brother.

He married Willie Lewis Anderson in the year, with four sons, Rodes L, Willie Collabis, Marcelas L, Adrian A. Anderson. She worked as a maid in Town & Country Motor Lodge, who later worked as a Breeden family, former President of Edgar Shannon University of Virginia, and Sam & An Cleveland housekeeper. William "Bill" Walker Byers, Jr.

William "Bill" Walker Byers, Jr., entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 6, 2020, in the Hospice Acute Care Unit at Hospice of the Piedmont after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on February 1, 1946 in Charlottesville, Virginia to the late William Walker Byers, Sr. and Rosemary Jones Byers.

Bill attended Jackson P. Burley High School, graduating in 1964. He was a member of the concert band, marching band, yearbook staff, and various clubs, and was an athlete. Bill earned his Associates Degree in Automobile Mechanics from Virginia State University (1964-1966) and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Education and Recreation from Norfolk State College (1971-1975). After graduating from Norfolk State University, Bill was inducted into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity (Gamma Alpha Lambda Chapter) in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1976. Bill was drafted into the United States Army in 1966 and served in Vietnam from February 1967 until late January 1968.

On September 3, 1983, he married Mary Wyatt Buyers, and his daughter Anita Elizabeth Buyers and his son William (Billy) Walker Buyers III were born. The building was a car, especially Corvette. His father said he wanted to own Corvette someday, but he heard that it did not happen, and he decided to own himself in the future. As the word suggests, he owned not only one but also four!

The Bill was a school system in Charlottsville, who taught swimming and water safety for 30 years (1976-2006) until the program was abolished. Teaching swimming impressed many people. Building has always been working to contribute to the local community in the field of health and safety. From 1968 to 1972, he was the director of the camp face (a summer camp for unfair children). From 1974 to 2014, he served as the manager and swimming instructor of various (indoor and outdoor) pools at the Charlottsville Park and Recreational Bureau. The building was a director of the American Red Cross, working as a life guard, CPR, first aid, crisis management, and water safety instructor. His favorite word is his father's words. Remeanine "Diggy" Najuan Rose Thorston suddenly died on August 30, 2020. He was born on January 9, 1997 between Ramsey O'Neill Sston and Binta Rose in Charlottzville, Virginia.

He graduated from Charlottsville High School on May 30, 2015 and acquired an advanced diploma certified by the auto body. He served as a patient care transporter (PACU) at the University of Virginia Medical Center and recently joined the OR surgical support engineer.

Diggy liked basketball with his brothers, specializing in car repair and repair, so he was passionate about motorcycles and antique cars.

Nelly Celestin Mosby Allen

Life and heritage Nelly Celestin Mosby Allen died on August 29, 2020. She was born in October 1925 in Clobsville, Virginia, between the late Benjamin Mosby and Elenora Mosby. He was the second of the seven children born between Benjamin and Elenora.

She dedicated her life to Christ at First Baptist Church as a young woman and enjoyed singing in the choir. As an adult, she grew even more in the Lord at Bethany Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey, where she was a member of the Women's League and volunteered at the food pantry. She loved the Lord and her church.

Nellie attended grade school in Cobbsville, Virginia, and graduated from Esmont High School in 1944. Shortly after graduating from high school, Nellie moved to Newark, New Jersey, where she met a young man named William "Bill" Allen. They were married in 1953. They had no children of their own, but she showered much love on her nieces, nephews, and the children of her friends. Nellie enjoyed sewing, church activities, family events, and reading religious books. She had a great sense of humor and loved talking to family and friends on the phone.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bill Allen, brothers Benjamin Mosby and Isaiah Mosby, and sisters Mattie Barron and Etheline Brown.

To celebrate her life she leaves behind brother Nathaniel Mosby (Barbara) of Fort Washington, Maryland, sister Bertha Bell of East Orange, New Jersey, special nephews and nieces Benjamin Mosby III and Celestine Conte, goddaughter Robin Brandon of Richmond, Virginia, and many nieces and nephews.

Mason Carter Allen

Mason Carter Allen of Charlottesville, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. He was born March 22, 1921, in Newport News, Virginia, to Andrew Allen and Annie (Bailey) Allen. He attended Jefferson School, enlisted in the Army in 1943 at age 22, and served until the end of the war when he was honorably discharged.

Predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Annie (Bailey) Allen, his beloved wife, Mary (Bryant) Allen, his brothers and sisters, Thelma Banks, Edith Taylor (Walter), Dr. Andrew Allen, his daughters, Shirley Austin, Doris Currier (Bert), and his nephew, Gerald Allen.

Granddaughter Wanda Austin, grandson Jason Currier, great-grandson Jaylen Currier, spiritual granddaughter Barbara Davis, all of Milwaukee, sister-in-law Mary Allen (Johnson Allen), and many cousins and nephews.

Mason Carter Allen was a man of great faith, a great cook, an avid fisherman, and of course a visionary when it came to remodeling his home. He will be greatly missed, but now rests in peace with the Lord.
