Rebecca Menzies Raids at Downpatrick: All five racers receive market backing

Adrian has loved horse racing since he was young and regularly visits racecourses in the west of Ireland. He loves both flat and jump racing in the UK and Ireland, with Galway racing being his favourite festival and he goes there every year.

British trainer Rebecca Menzies will be sending her horses to race over jumps for the first time in Ireland, but today she has five horses in total at Downpatrick.

He was expected to win hurdles in 2022, but he arrives here after two consecutive AW2 races over 1m2f at Newcastle. He has a visor instead of the usual blinkers. He needs to improve in all formats, but he has a chance in the profitable races.

Plens Garde Г  Trois, ridden by Gordon Elliott, is all the rage here, but Menzies' frontrunner is losing out. He's back since July's Cartmel, where he finished second by half a length, but he should bounce back from his previous race at Sedgefield.

Very strong in the market this morning. Winless for the last two years, but not far behind the favourite who finished third at Hexham last time out. Has had a rough and sharp race, and started in Ireland from 4 pounds lower.

Very ordinary Novice Chase, but if this horse can get going, he may be beaten to death. Won a hurdle at Cartmel in May and came within a length at Sedgefield this month.

He ran well over hurdles at Kelso last time out and the Irish handicapper is giving him a big chance if he improves over big hurdles.
