Kuto is one of the few Dortmund players, a personal MVP. He is starting to build a necessary compatibility with Brandt and Girassy. His jumping on his line was wonderful, and the second half of the Dortmund's attack was born from Kuto.

For the most part, he looked like a player who can go forward and make things happen, contributing a lot of the creativity and development. He was unlucky not to get the assist and score the second goal.

• Brandt started off slowly but seems to be gradually getting better. His number 10 helped with that, but this was secondary to his performance as a hole. He was the only player to throw at least one key pass and post progressive numbers.

• Bayer was clumsy as a winger and played mainly as a secondary forward. He struggled overall, barely made a play, and clogged the line on two chances.
