Harrington Casino Fundraiser Supports RMDH and Make-A-Wish

Harrington, Delaware - Harrington Racetrack and Casino recently presented checks from the proceeds of their annual fundraiser to two local nonprofits known for their work with children: Make-A-Wish Delaware and the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware (RMDH).

Make-A-Wish received a check for $18, 509 from the fundraiser on November 5th, and RMDH received a check for $14, 701 from the fundraiser held on December 18th in the casino's Gold Room.

"Make-A-Wish is thrilled to partner with Harrington Racetrack and Casino again to make this a successful donation drive," said Carla Feldman, vice president of development for Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley. "The impact of a child's wish journey is life-changing, hopeful and empowering. We are grateful for Harrington Racetrack and Casino's support as they help grant transformative wishes for children across Delaware."

Feldman and Jan Shallcross, RMDH's Southern Delaware Advancement Officer, accepted the check on behalf of their organizations.

Harrington Racetrack and Casino Hospitality Chief Operating Officer Hank Rosenberg serves on RMDH's Advisory Board and is a former Make-A-Wish board member who recently celebrated 25 years as a volunteer.

"I'm really fortunate to have been involved with both organizations for such a long time and to work for a company that believes so strongly in giving back to the community," said Rosenberg. "We've been running this promotion for both organizations for years and have raised over $100, 000 in total to support the great work they do.

Harrington Race Track and Casino Hosts Fundraiser for USA and Toys for Tots November 11, 2016Harrington, Delaware – The spirit of giving was omnipresent at Harrington Race Track and Casino on November 13, as more than 10 jumbo pallet boxes of items were donated as part of a joint donation drive for Toys for Tots and United Service Organizations (USO) Delaware.
