Who is the host of the Wall Game?

The host of the Wall Game is none other than the magnetic Chris Hardwick, who returns to host the show for the fifth season. He was part of the team that won an Emmy for Outstanding Interactive Program for the game show "@midnight with Chris Hardwick," and hosted a hit game show that rose to prominence in the '90s.

What are the rules of the Wall Game?

Players work together to answer questions and collect huge prizes. More than $12 million is on the line every night, with up to $3 million in one shocking drop.

Here's how it works: If you get the question right, a green ball falls from the four-story wall, adding cash to the player's winnings balance, called the bank. If you get the question wrong, a red ball falls and that value is subtracted from the team's bank.

Competing in pairs, contestants must trust their loved ones and make the right decisions to win more money. Ultimately, teams are offered contracts that dramatically affect their payouts. By signing the contract, the team's bank account is forfeited, and they lose the same amount as their free fall prize, plus $20 for each question they get right in the second and third rounds.

This season, two lucky players have won $2. 8 million in prize money, the largest amount in the series' history.

Who will be taking on The Wall Season 5?

As with every season, The Wall contestants are a mix of people who are trying to win the show's grand prize. Season 5 features a veteran staff sergeant who lost parts of four limbs on his third tour overseas, a Capitol Police officer who saved the life of a member of Congress, a retired transit authority officer who rescued a man from oncoming traffic, and a young couple who removed over 100, 000 pounds of trash from their community. It's unclear who will take on The Wall next.
