Like other European sports books (Bet365 and UNIBET), BETWAY has entered the US market when the legal PASPA, which has virtually illegal sports betting, was overturned. Thus, although the service started in 2006, the United States has been in the United States since 2021, starting from Coloradado and Indiana.

The sportsbook is owned by SGHC LTD and is the company's main brand.

Betway operates in nine states, including Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, Louisiana, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

I am a European sports book fan in general. The American betting scene, where sportsbooks feel the same everywhere, have a different atmosphere from many experiences.

But standing out does not always stand up.

BETWAY user experience should be smoother, their odds are not always competitive, and the slow payout is a general dissatisfaction.

In addition, the sig n-up bonus can only be used in Arizona, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Aside from these negative aspects, it's still an app that offers solid odds boost, excellent sports coverage, and quite unique promotion.

Overall, Betway is reasonable, but not best. It's not the first place to go for precious odds, but sig n-up bonuses and continuous promotions are worth downloading apps.

• Great sports coverage: There are many types of sports that can be bet. From major leagues to no n-mainstream sports like lacrosse and darts. There is also a high alignment bed. Unless it is extremely niche like armless ring, it is likely to be found on BETWAY.
• Valuable odds boosts: There may be other books that boost odds every day than BETWAY, but many are for long shot parles that have only one blue moon. BETWAY, on the other hand, offers a boost to more achievable beds, such as raising the Seltics and Clippers victory odds fro m-106 to +115.
• Limiting a successful betor and Sharp, which has a rich number of limits, is a common and unpopular movement in most books. I don't say that BETWAY never does it, but there are fewer complaints about the restrictions on players than other books. This suggests that Betway is dealing well in the industry more.
• The solid liv e-betting platform Betway offers a wide range of sports for live betting and offers competitive odds. The platform reacts quickly and updates the odds. Live streaming is not yet on the menu, but live stats and live trackers are doing a wonderful job to fill the gap.

BETWAY dislike

• Less betting options: Athlete props including major sports athletes and assist combo are enriched. However, there is no creative sense that can be seen elsewhere. Game props and futures selections are limited, and they are only basic. Rival sports books are becoming more common, and high bets, such as the team's total number of wins or other novel beds, cannot be expected.
• Limited function set: Betway function set is a bit delayed from the times. Five years ago, it might have been enough to provide the same game parley as the cash out, but today's Better expects something more. Competitive companies have developed tools such as "Edit My Bet" and "Quick Parlays". Bettway needs to catch up with these creative trends.
• Poor UX: Bettway requires UX renewal. The extremely dark theme puts a burden on the eyes, but not just a color scheme. You need to organize your betting options. If you add a different tab to a different prop category, the user will not have to scroll up endlessly to find a specific player stats. Sports book layouts should not change depending on the state. It is confusing that what is displayed in New Jersey is different from what is displayed in Ohio.

Betway odds competitiveness

We analyzed 7, 000 games recently played by US sports books, and looked for some good odds.

It's clear that Betway regularly offers worse odds on moneyline bets, props, and futures than the big sportsbooks.

When it comes to spreads and total bets, you'll mostly find 20-cent lines (such a s-110 on one side), which is pretty standard among sportsbooks.

When it comes to moneyline odds, Betway tends to lag a little behind the industry.

For example, in the NBA matchup between the Clippers and Bulls that took place while I was writing this review, Betway was offering odds o f-245 on the Clippers and +200 on the Bulls. Meanwhile, FanDuel offere d-240 on the Clippers and +205 on the Bulls, offering better value for both the favorite and the underdog.

When it comes to futures bets, it's a mixed bag. When it comes to futures bets, the odds vary. That's why I make it a habit to check Betway's lines when I'm shopping around.

I gave Betway an odds rating of 13. 5 out of 20. Here are three other sportsbooks that consistently offer better odds:

As for Betway's sign-up bonus, I gave it a rating of 6 out of 15. I don't see the value in Betway's promotions compared to other sportsbooks, especially considering that they don't offer intro promos in the majority of states where Betway operates. Plus, restrictive terms like a narrow window to use the bonus bet don't help.

Betway allows you to place bets through their website or mobile app (iOS & Android). Betway's apps are state-by-state, which is a big drawback for big travelers like me who want to use one app.

The sportsbook uses a basic design without a lot of colors, team icons, etc. that sportsbooks like FanDuel and DraftKings use to make it easier to navigate.

One of the big complaints about Betway is the way they lay out their markets, especially their prop bets. With NBA matches having over 140 player prop bets, cramming them into one tab makes it hard to find what you're looking for. If the player you want to bet on isn't at the top, you'll end up scrolling and scrolling some more to find it.

Betway is fast. Whether you're flipping through different sports or navigating the bet types in the menu, the app responds instantly. Previously, the platform was noticeably slow, leading to complaints from many users. Thankfully, they've made some major improvements and are now much faster.

The search function is also great. It's easy to find both competitions and teams, which is really helpful when you're looking for a specific bet. That said, it's not perfect and can get a bit cluttered at times. For example, when I searched for "Celtics," the NBA match I wanted showed up first, but also random football matches.

I'm also a big fan of how Betway handles the bet slip, especially how they organize the major bet types into separate tabs for singles, parlays, round robin, and teasers. Many sportsbooks tend to lump combo bets together in one tab, so this setup is refreshing.

Betway's same game parlay toggle is a clever feature. When you turn it on, it only shows you markets that can be combined in a same game parlay. This is in contrast to other sportsbooks, where you can select a few markets and then later be told they can't be combined in your bet slip. This is a real timesaver.

Some people might prefer a dark theme (like DraftKings), but Betway has taken it to the extreme. The white font provides the necessary contrast and improves the situation slightly, but not enough.

The mobile app is glitchy, with the annoying geolocation error found in many sportsbooks, especially if you're close to state lines. Plus, it's annoying to be logged out after inactivity, which requires you to re-enter your login information every time.

Finally, the app has a Face ID feature, which works seamlessly in my experience.

BETWAY has a wide range of sports selections, and the competitions in each sport are rich in variety. However, the depth of the betting options available in each game can be improved.

Sports that can be bet on a betway

Betway's sports lineup should satisfy most betors, but there is one drawback. For example, in New Jersey, Better can access 18 kinds of sports. However, when you cross Ohio, your choices are reduced to only 10.

If BETWAY will unify the assortment of sports in Jeonju, there is nothing better. I know that the same lineup is impossible for regulatory reasons, but I don't think it is necessary to change the options so much. It only becomes more complicated than necessary.

In Ohio, the choice of sports is faithful to the basics:

The list of BETWAY tournaments is not as deep as I expected. European sports books are usually overwhelmed by the number of competitions to cover. But Betway has not reached such a high level. For example, BET365 covers 31 leagues, whereas the 15 basketball league odds. Also, even soccer, which seems to be monopolized by BETWAY, has overwhelmingly small and separated.

If Betway doesn't deal with your favorite sports or looking for more options, these three sports books may be perfect for your taste:

Diversity of Bet Way Market

Propes and futures are working hard for sportsbooks to stand out. BETMGM has a characteristic bed, and Fanduel and Draftkings have unique player props and seasonal markets. However, BETWAY is particular about basic meat and potatoes.

Prop

BETWAY has a proper lineup for major sports player props, but has a little games and team props. In addition, propline development tends to be slower than other sports books.

Let's take a closer look at the major league prop:

• NBA Props: You get the standard player props hitting all the major stats like points, rebounds, steals, blocks and turnovers. Betway also offers some interesting combos, like a composite stat line for the team's fifth-best player in assists and rebounds (other books usually offer these bets only on star players). But you'll miss out on trending first basket markets and a broader range of game props excluding period plays.
• NFL Props: Betway offers a full suite of NFL props, including touchdown, receiving, rushing and passing yards options. There are a smattering of quarter and half-specific options, but fewer team bets.
• NHL Props: Betway has more NHL props than any other major sport. You'll find everything from race to X-goal props, team totals with alternate lines, both teams to score options and first period props. I especially like the "fast market" props, like betting on first goal and first penalty.
• MLB Props: Besides the usual runs, inning totals, and money lines, Betway has a good selection of team and game props. You'll find bets like "X team will score first to win," "Which team will have the highest scoring inning," and "Number of runs scored on the first scoring play." When it comes to player props, they stick to the basics and focus on runs allowed and strikeouts.
• Other Sports: Betway's betting options for less mainstream sports aren't as impressive. Take tennis, for example. A big match like the Masters 1000 will have over 20 markets, but only three special bets. You'll miss out on a lot of the deeper game and set props. And while you might think there are a lot of options for Premier League soccer, there are only 90+ markets. That's a lot less than a sportsbook like bet365, which often offers over 140 markets.

These three betting sites have wall-to-wall market depth, including a wealth of options that Betway doesn't have, so consider them as options:

Futures

At Betway, futures betting is standard. In their NBA section, they cover:

• Individual awards (Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year, MVP, Defensive Player of the Year)
• Conference winners
• Division winners
• NBA Finals winning odds

But when it comes to NBA futures, they're missing out on one of my personal favorites: the "Playoff berth" bet.

For the NFL, you get all the options above, plus odds on each team's total wins this season. I wish there was more variety, like the draft and player specials that FanDuel offers.

Live Betting

Betway offers a solid live betting experience, but there are some areas that could use some tweaking.

The market variety and sports selection are pretty good. On a typical Friday afternoon evening, you can find live betting on over 20 sports, which isn't bad.

There's also a good variety of bet amounts per sport. Most of the pre-game bets are carried over to the live section. For a typical college basketball game, you'll have over 30 live betting options to choose from.

Betway offers micro markets, allowing you to get into the details by betting on specific play-by-play moments, such as who will take the next basket in a basketball game.

The odds are mostly reasonable, but I have found some pretty sizable mismatches, like lines that were over 32 cents (-108 on one side an d-124 on the other side for totals or spreads).

The downside? Betway doesn't offer live streaming.

Betway boasts a 4. 1 rating on the App Store and 3. 4 on Google Play, but those numbers don't tell the whole story. A closer look at the comments section reveals a lot of complaints.

The main complaints are about glitchy apps, unresponsive customer support, and glitchy features.

• Issues with the cash out feature: Ian wasn't happy with the cash out option. It only appeared when he was losing and disappeared when he had a chance to win (see screenshot).

I checked what people were saying about Betway on Reddit. Some threads are asking if Betway is legal, and there are both dissatisfaction and praise. But I really stopped reading a post that my account was locked after a big victory.

BETWAY has a wide variety of deposit and withdrawal methods, and in my experience, the processing time is fast. I will explain a little more in detail.

There is no fee for the drawer. However, it is important to keep in mind that a specific payment processor or bank may pay a commission, especially when using a credit card. In some cases, banks are considered caching that banks tend to charge fees.

There are dissatisfaction that the payout from BETWAY is slow, but my personal experience is different. The drawer is usually completed within 48 hours. This efficiency is one of the fastest payout sports books I choose.

An important precaution is that withdrawal is only for confirmed accounts. In other words, if you want to take the first deposit in VIP Preferred and withdraw the prize money with PayPal, you need to do the deposit with PayPal.
